It is our pleasure to announce that Derrick Morgan has been appointed as Nevis Ensemble’s first Assistant Artistic Director.

Our audiences might recognise Derrick for recent tours and recordings, and we’re delighted to bring him fully into the Nevis family.

“We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Derrick Morgan as Assistant Artistic Director, and we can’t wait to have him work with him and our new cohort of musicians for a very year of touring and projects” said Holly Mathieson and Jon Hargreaves, co-Artistic Directors for Nevis Ensemble.

Derrick, is an alumnus of Edinburgh University and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has worked with the Edinburgh Symphony Orchestra, Edinburgh Studio Opera and Ensemble Alba. With Nevis, Derrick has led a number of orchestral tours and recording projects.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to take on this exciting new role at Nevis Ensemble and can’t wait to start working with my fellow musicians under the guidance of Holly and Jon!” said Derrick.
