Sunday 21 June 2020 is Fête de la Musique or Make Music Day! Started in the 1980s, Fête de la Musique is now celebrated in more than 120 countries, with the aim of taking music to everyone, everywhere. 

Whilst larger-scale performances are on hold for a while, we want to encourage you to get out your instruments and warm up your voices to give informal, socially-distanced performances in your gardens, streets, parks and open spaces. If it’s raining, open your window, and play for passers-by! 

Send us your photos and videos, and we’ll feature them on our website and on social media. 

So far, we have participants across the UK, and in Germany, India, Colombia, Nigeria, Ghana, Nicaragua, Italy and Serbia, so do join in!
